Planning my year 2009... Part 1

How is everyone lately? - I wondered....? Hopefully things are going great especialy with the festive & holidays during the yr end.

** Warning - This might be a typically boring post which might get you yawning & perhaps irritated later on... XD

Its been a while since I have really blog much bout thoughts as well as well as my personal life. Partly not knowing what to write in as nothing signifcant did happen...

Lets see, firstly I was glad that my sem has ended & of course final exam too.. on sem break till 12th January...=)

Work wise, a colleague of mine just resigned... its kind of sad to get to know someone & later on parting... But, no matter what - still wishing u the very best to your future undertaking.

But as usual as u guys know, I have been thinkin & still doing lots of thinking... This 2 - 3 months has been draining alot of my energy... Not sure how to word it, as some might sum it in a few lines
"I m bored of life... I don know where is my life heading... I am so tired...BUT I cant stop just right now.... I cant...cant..."

On the positive, its the end of 2008 & thank god its less than 1 week from now... time really passess fast... yet sometimes i wished that it pass even faster so that my agony & situation things for the better... on the other hand, u realize that u realize that ur older by a yr - no matter what ppl say, each of us know, we can never in time, what is left is memories & flashbacks...
"1 step closer to "Sheoul" - death & where the gravewards lie..."

Since 2009 is just round the corner, i though it gud to do some planning... more specific directions laid for the coming yr...
(But frankly part of me feels like just leaving everything & give up & lets things be the way they are - come what may & i may come)

Ignore what I said earlier as its just not possible, that would just be too selfish & irresponsible of me, wouldn't it?

Some of these are some of the things I have in mind for the coming year. Could have left out a few:

( Needing to thinking about it... Will update this post later on....)

TO BE CONTINUES....= P

Recession - Forecast, Read It !!

Got this email from a colleague of mine. Sharing & hopefully it would wake those still dreaming ! *smacks*

Here goes :

Anyone game for this offer? He is former PA of Tun Mahathir.

The reality - Matthias Chang

Flip-flopping fairy tales: Malaysia will not have 3.9% growth in 2009
- Accepting reality is not pessimism, giving false hope is not optimism

By Matthias Chang,18 November 2008

Let´s put some money in our mouths. In the past I have challenged those who disagreed with me, that if they can prove me wrong, I would gladly pay them a RM5,000cash reward. There were no takers. None could prove me wrong!

In the past few days, the mass media have gone out of the way to interview politicians and the Governor of Bank Negara to project a rosy picture that somehow our economy will overcome the severe pain and disruption from the on-going global financial tsunami.

I am willing to take on anyone from the Badawi regime and Bank Negara that by H1 of 2009, the KLCI will drop below 700. If I am wrong in my analysis, I will pay the first five individuals from the saidBadawi regime and or Bank Negara the sum of RM5,000. These five individuals must within a week register at my website that they are
willing to take me on in this challenge.

They have to provide their full name and address in accordance with their NRIC/MyKad and their designation.

If they lose to me, they must pay me the same amount!

Fellow citizens, don´t listen to the Badawi regime´s fairy tales.

Prepare for the worst and the worst is yet to come. You owe it to your family. The best way to save our family and our country is to be prepared for all eventualities. We must tighten our belts, save for the stormy days that will surely come and not spend, spend as advocated by the Badawi regime´s ministers.

Use common sense. What do you tell your children as responsible parents when the family is going through hard times - spend, spend, spend or be thrifty, thrifty, thrifty?

Remember the flight safety rules when flying - when the oxygen mask falls from the overhead compartment, you are to wear the mask first before attending to your children. If you cannot save yourself, you are not in a position to save anyone. This is a fundamental principle of survival for everyone when a plane is about to crash!

Apply the same principle to economic woes and we will all be saved.

Here are my warnings for 2009:

By 2nd Half of next year, the automobile industry will go into a tailspin and suffer massive losses.

By 2nd Half of next year, credit card debts will soar, credit limits will be drastically reduced (worse than 1997/1998) and interest rates on outstanding will increase sharply. It is already happening!

By 2nd Half of next year, shipping rates will drop drastically and this is also happening. Our ports and shipping companies will suffer.

By 2nd Half of next year, our housing market bubble will burst not withstanding all the stimulus and pump-priming. Arab investors will not be coming. Dubai and Abu Dhabi is already in a financial /property gridlock! Why would they come here when they have to save their own asses?

By 2nd Half of next year, our exporters will be in tears, when Letters of Credit (L/Cs) will not be honoured and inventory stacks up at ports and in factory premises. Chinese exporters are already stipulating what LCs from which global banks will only be accepted.

By 2nd Half of next year, FELDA settlers will also be in tears. Having spent their windfall early this year (because of Badawi regime´s false optimism), their savings will be down and they will bleed.

By the 3rd Quarter of next year, corporate NPLs will shoot up!
Relaxing mark-to-market rules will not help.

Malaysia will have a huge immigration problem when these hardworking people are thrown out of work and have to compete with the swelling ranks of Malaysian unemployed.

In the meantime capital outflows will continue.

Let´s see whether the statement that Malaysia has more than enough reserves (since according to Bank Negara, we need only have US$30 to US$40 billion reserves) will provide sufficient confidence to foreigninvestors to continue to invest in Malaysia.

You can call the above observations - rubbish, pessimism, gloom anddoom etc. but that won´t change reality.

Pause and think. In my previous warnings and alerts, I have stated that by the latest - the 1st quarter of 2009, things will get ugly and scary!

If I am not right, why did the leaders of the just concluded G-20 summit in Washington, in their so-called "Action Plan" stipulated that their policies, remedies etc. must be implemented by the end of the 1st Quarter 2009?

My articles were all written BEFORE THE SUMMIT andobviously I have no control over the leaders of G-20.

So ask yourself -"Why Oh Why Must the First Action Plan Be Implemented by the First Quarter of 2009?

This is only the first tentative steps by the G-20 leaders and thereis no guarantee that the measures will work. The original Bretton Woods initiatives took almost two years to be formalised and put to work. There is no magic wand to be wielded by the leaders for instant cure. It will be a long hard grind. In the meantime, more shits will hit the ceiling fan. That is a given!

I hope the Badawi Regime and Bank Negara are not accusing the G-20 leaders and Obama´s financial and economic advisers as beingpessimists!

You be the judge!

Vagina - [Yellow Jokes]

Just a short line + a little humour... some of u who dont like it can skip the post... Thanks...

Lilly is at home when she hears someone knock at the
door..
She goes to the door and opens it to see a man
standing
there.

He asks the lady 'Do you have a vagina?'.
Shocked
she slams the door in disgust.

The next morning she hears a knock at the door and it
is
the same man and he asks the same question of the
woman
'Do you have a vagina?'. She slams the door
again.

Later that night when her husband gets home she tells
him
what has happened for the last two days. The husband
tells
the wife in a loving and concerned voice 'Honey I
am
taking tomorrow off to be home
just in case this guy shows up again'.

The next morning they hear a knock at the door and
both run
for the door. The husband says to the wife in a
whispered
voice 'Honey, I'm going to hide behind the
door and
listen and if it is the same guy I want you to answer
'yes' to the question because I want to see
where he
is going with it'. She nods yes to her husband
and
opens the door.

Sure enough the same fellow is standing there and asks
the
same question, ' Do you have a vagina?'.
'Yes' she says.

The man replies...
' Good! Would you mind telling your husband to
leave my wife's alone and start using yours!?'

*p/s - drop a comment if u find it offensive. tq.

Out to seek my 'soul'...

Just a short update...

Since i ve been rather emo these few days... thought it be gud to go out rather than staying at home...

So, went out jalan jalan with my fren, Alfred. Basically we had lunch at I-Dragon at Pavillion, window shopping, watch Twilight, shopping, had dessert at MOF & meet up with Shy, bought a few things, went yam cha & back home updating the posting...

Did feel slightly better but still confused minds & heavy hearts... been thinkin again as i alwiz do... tried to seek for guidance & motivation...

Perhaps I indeed find something that might spark my interest & passion in the small seemingly routine things in life. My fren just came back from his holiday in Japan.
During our yam cha session, he actually updated me loads about his recent trip to Tokyo, Osaka & Hiroshima.

Of course he enjoyed himself during the 2 weeks plus holiday. But apart from the fun, he did relate how different Japan is different to this place we call home. Many many things that really makes us / rather myself ashamed to be actually proud of ourselves...

Starting from the much much much developed, systematic, developed infrastructure... to the mentality of its people... the education system.... & more importantly the attitude... Of course, the Japanese are not perfect & everything...

Its just that sometimes we tend to feel to satisfied too easily... Been too long in our comfort zone... Too arogant to seek guidance... Too egotistic to admit our wrongs...

In the many things he said... a few things left quite an impact in me... Perhaps I should 're-motivate' myself basing on the things he told me...?

I am going thru a whole new thinking process & trying to put it into actions...

Hopefully, yes... with high hopes - my journey to seek for my wondering 'soul' starts... Wish me all the best ppl !

*** SPARTAN spirit - Where are u?! ****

Me again - Ranting !

Finally my exams are finished.

But i don fell happy even through i should be feeling that way. The "I Feel Good" feeling is just not there.... instead i feel so un-spirited. Like a soul that for a holiday, leaving the the empty "shell" behind, my body..... bla bla bla....

Oh, for those who were wondering if I hit my sales target last month. The answer is " YES !"... Was happy for the last few days of November... But then came December... emoness & xienzness strikes again....

I m starting to suspect I am getting to feel the stress from work - sales target. I know i m suppose be whack myself & psycho myself into believing that I can do it.

But this time around - It just didnt work this time ( Maybe i just didnt try so hard to try to fool myself?? ) This is how i feel : I feel i CANT hit the target. I feel since I CANT hit the target - I got no motivation to pick up the phone & make those bloody calls. Not sure - lots of stuff going in my head right now. There could be so much at stake... Next year appraisal could be affected & very likely will be because this December month.

I feel like blaming others... but who the hell do i start from. Or is it just me - not believing in myself.

Where is my zeal... My passion... WTF !!

[Never argue with children] - From Email

Sharing an email i got recently. Hope it brings some smile to your faces. Everybody's like so stress - so cheer up !!

1. My 4 year old son came screaming out of the bathroom to tell me he'd dropped his toothbrush in the toilet. So I fished it out and threw it in the garbage.

He stood there thinking for a moment, then ran to my bathroom and came out with my toothbrush. He held it up and said with a charming little smile, "We better throw this one out too then, 'cause it fell in the toilet a few days ago.

2. A little boy got lost at the YMCA and found himself in the women's locker room. When he was spotted, the room burst into shrieks, with ladies grabbing towels and running for cover.

The little boy watched in amazement and then asked, "What's the matter, haven't you ever seen a little boy before?"

3. A little girl had just finished her first week of school. "I'm just wasting my time," she said to her mother."I can't read, I can't write and they won't let me talk!"

4. A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales. The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small.

The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale. Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human, it was physically impossible. The little girl said, "When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah".

The teacher asked, "What if Jonah went to hell?" The little girl replied, "Then you ask him".

5. The children had all been photographed, and the teacher was trying to persuade them each to buy a copy of the group picture." Just think how nice it will be to look at it when you are all grown up and say, 'There's Jennifer, she's a lawyer,' or 'that's Michael. He's a doctor.'"

A small voice at the back of the room rang out, "And there's the teacher. She's dead

6. The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray: "Take only ONE. God is watching."

Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies.

A child had written a note, "Take all You want. God is watching the apples!"

7. A kindergarden teacher at age 30 was talking to the children seated on the floor around her, absentmindedly she removed her glasses to clean them."

Wow, Miss Collins!" one child exclaimed. "You look really different without your glasses on !"Another child piped up, "I bet she looks different when she takes her teeth out, too!"

-= THE END =-

Just an Update for Myself

This posting is more like a personal diary. Been a while since i last posted anything here.

Been lazy & busy & didnt really have the "inspiration" to write.LOL

First things first, I ve officially managed to submit both of my coursework assignments. It seemed forever for me to finish, partly also becuz i kept on procastinating the task till about 72 hours before dateline. Anyway - I seriously glad & relief that its done but wont hope much for the marks I ll be getting from lecturer.

And if you guys wanted to know bout work? It kind of sucks ... haha... but i don feel particuliarly upset or down... I guess I kind of physco myself into trying to think positive. And it does works - *smiles*. Not sure if current economy situation is the main factor or if its just the year end timing that resulted in everyone's slum performance lately.

Oh well... working life has gotten more busy. Since sales not so gud, I m trying harder & so are the rest of the team. Its kind of like a war zone... hard for me to describe! But in a way, it adds a little spice in the usual routine job.

Personal life wise, I guess for now - its an trial for me to exercise the virtue or patience. Waiting & just hoping - wishful thinking... But anyway, lots of things turn out the way it should as time goes by. I ll just wait and see..Hohoho.

Actually recently had the reflection & doing some thinking like i had last time. And its back again - be writing more on that later on about that.

For now, its been quite tiring. Time for me to catch some sleep... ZZZ

I m Happy !

Been happy recently.

Its been bubbling to come out - the smiles, the grin & the laughter.

This feeling is so abstract for me to discribe yet so real, satisfying yet its meaning cannot fully be discribe using words. Yeah - thats the feeling. U'll know what I'm talking about if ur happy rite now : )

Like this DOG - YEAH !

Some of my frenz asked y I am so happy. I told them : ' I don't know - I just feel happy. '
I've been totally honest with them - I myself cant figured out y.

Nothing spectacular really happen - I didnt strick lottery / do Exceptionally well in work. In fact - I didnt hit my target last month - was only 79.9% percent...lolz...
I decided to shift my focus & change my attitudes.
Trying to be more positive & focusing on things that matter to me currently - things in the future can be worried later on.

Actually my frenz have helped me a way bit (unknownly)- a smile is contagious, just that smile you never know could go a long way to brighten up another person's day.

I felt their happiness - whether be when they managed to achieve what they aspired & worked hard for; sweetness & joyfulness of a lovey dovey couple or when frenz get togehter to celebrate an occasion that matters much to u.

I choose not to be selfish - I want everyone to lift up their heads & show their smile & striving to be positive & stay happy.

Happiness is so abstract isn't it ?
